CrossFit CoLex Classes and Info

CrossFit is core strength and conditioning system built on constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. This approach combines the most effective training principles from a variety of sports, including gymnastics, Olympic weight lifting, and running, to best prepare people for any physical task. CrossFit defines fitness as increased work capacity across ten recognized fitness domains, including: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. This broad, inclusive approach has made CrossFit the primary fitness program for a growing number of professional athletes, police, fire fighters, and military personnel whose competitive success or even survival may depend on their ability to perform a wide variety of unpredictable tasks. And because the needs of Olympic athletes and every other person (like you, me, children, and grandparents) differ only by degree, not kind, all CrossFit workouts are designed for universal scale-ability. In other words, CrossFit is appropriate for anybody willing to learn something new and work hard.

Olympic Weightlifting's main focus is to improve the technical execution of the snatch, clean & jerk, and related lifts. Here you can expect to perform auxiliary exercises and drills to supplement the Olympic lifts. This program is intended to supplement your regular training routine and improve explosiveness, strength, and coordination in addition to improving comfort with the lifts.
